Calderdale Council is seeking a passionate and experienced Adult Social Worker (Level 3) to join our dynamic All Age Disability Team in Halifax.

This is a fantastic opportunity to make a real impact on the lives of vulnerable adults in our community with a great pay rate of £35ph.

About the Role:

• You will work collaboratively within the team to assess the needs of adults with disabilities, ensuring they receive the appropriate support and services.


• This role will involve complex casework, requiring a strong understanding of the Court of Protection procedures.


• As part of the team's duty system, you will respond to urgent enquiries and requests.

What you will bring:

• Qualified Social Worker (Level 3) with a minimum of 5 years' experience.


• Proven track record of successfully managing complex cases and Court of Protection work.


• Excellent communication, assessment, and advocacy skills.


• A commitment to working collaboratively with service users, families, and other professionals.

The Benefits:

• Competitive hourly rate of £35.


• 37-hour contract (Monday-Friday).


• Hybrid working model - 3 days in the office (Shay Football Stadium, Halifax) and 2 days flexible working.

Qualifications and Skills:

• Qualified Social Worker with relevant degree or equivalent qualification


• Registered with Social Work England


• Experience working with vulnerable children


• Ability to work independently and within a team


• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills


• Full enhanced DBS

Working as a Qualified Social Worker with Service Care Solutions:

• £150 after 4 weeks in an assignment if you have not previously worked with us


• £250 for every Qualified Social Worker you refer over to us


• £150 to you for sourcing your own job and referring it to Service Care Solutions


• £250 each year to help with your Continuing Professional Development
