Job Title: Youth Justice Officer

Salary: £27.79- £29.11 per hour

We are seeking an enthusiastic, dynamic, and adaptable individual to join our team at Enfield Council.

As a Youth Justice Officer, you will play a pivotal role in delivering high-quality youth support services within the framework of clean, safe care.

Candidate Requirements:

• An experienced Youth Justice Officer, ideally a qualified social worker with a minimum of two years of relevant experience.


• Probation Officer qualification/PCEP/YJEP qualifications and relevant experience will also be considered.


• Recent experience in youth justice and proficiency in using assessment tools such as AssetPlus.


• Ability to produce high-quality pre-sentence reports.


• Former Probation Officers with experience working within youth justice will be considered.

Roles and Responsibilities:

• Promoting and safeguarding the welfare of children and young persons.


• Undertaking and coordinating assessments to accurately identify the risk of reoffending, harm, dangerousness, and vulnerability.


• Developing and delivering targeted interventions to address the needs and underlying causes of offending behavior.


• Participating in the delivery of a wide range of Youth Offending Team (YOT) programs.
