Youth Offending Service Case Manager (L4Z2)

The Youth Offending Team (YOT) in Barnet is looking for dedicated professionals to join our team as Youth Offending Team Officers.

You will play a key role in our multi-agency approach to prevent offending by children and young people.




Main Responsibilities:
As a Youth Offending Team Officer, you will be responsible for:



  • Supervising statutory orders for children and young people.

  • Ensuring court sentences are delivered.

  • Preparing pre-sentence and referral order reports.

  • Representing the YOT at courts.

  • Working in partnership with other agencies.

  • Using assessment tools to gather and analyse information.

  • Developing and delivering intervention plans.

  • Maintaining accurate records.

  • Keeping up to date with legislation and practice.

  • Ensuring health and safety compliance.




Requirements:



  • A professional qualification in social work, probation, youth and community work, health, education OR relevant degree and experience of working with children and young people.

  • Experience of direct work with challenging and hard to engage children and young people.

  • Experience of direct work with offenders.

  • Experience of working within a statutory framework.

  • Strong planning and coordination skills.

  • Excellent communication skills, both written and oral.

  • Ability to adapt to change and work under pressure.

  • Strong decision-making and negotiation skills.

  • A valid driving licence and access to a motor vehicle.
