Service Care Legal are recruiting on behalf of a London borough Council who are seeking a Property & Planning Paralegal to join their team on a contract basis.

ROLE: Senior Project Lawyer - Regeneration
LOCATION: London
RATE: £47.00 to £57.00 per hour umbrella
CONTRACT: 3 month ongoing contract

Please note that this is a hybrid position and requires office attendance 2 days per week.

The Role of the Senior Project Lawyer

• To work closely with the Council's Regeneration and Planning officers


• To negotiate on some major planning agreements and advise in respect of landmark regeneration schemes (which have in the past few years included six CPO inquiries), infrastructure projects, and planning policy


• There will also be work in relation to planning inquiry appeals, legal challenges and you may be required to advise one of the Council's planning committees

The Person

• A qualified Solicitor, Legal Executive or Barrister with a minimum of 5 years' PQE


• Significant planning, highways and regeneration experience as well as technical experience of working with regeneration schemes would be highly beneficial


• Previous working experience within a local government environment would be essential
