IS Technical Systems Analyst
One of the largest housing associations in the South West is recruiting for an IS Technical Systems Analyst to assist with proactively managing and controlling all organisational wide IT systems supporting both on premise and cloud-based systems, as well as providing 2nd Line IT support to the organisation which is spread over Devon and Cornwall, as well as involvement in IT project delivery
The focus of this role is to support the Senior IS Technical Systems Analyst in proactively managing and controlling all organisational wide IT systems and playing a key role in technical projects, upgrades and implementations, working with third parties to design and implement technical solutions to business challenges.
This will also include the following tasks and responsibilities:
, Provide second line technical support for the business users and systems.
, Provide technical cover for the IS Infrastructure and Support Manager and IS Senior Technical Systems Analyst in their absence.
, Apply specialist and expert skills in infrastructure, networking and communication technologies to ensure that Westward's IT network is able to support business growth and business demand, whilst remaining compliant with data protection regulations.
, Assist in planning for disaster recovery.
, Taking a key role in testing all aspects.
, Produce detailed technical documentation as well as user documentation.
, Lead the routine patching of IT infrastructure systems and Endpoints.
, Actively monitor and manage all network hardware, servers, workstations and operating systems to ensure that they are optimised and operating at peak efficiency, and are fully operational and that any potential issues are resolved
, Identify and resolve infrastructure faults to include WAN, LAN, ADSL, hardware, operating systems, applications and phone systems
, Ensure the maintenance and optimisation of MS Exchange, Exchange online, Azure AD, and Office 365, SQL and other specialist systems
, Identify areas where performance improvements can be achieved, including the preparation of relevant reports, evidence, diagrams and other documentation using own knowledge and industry best practice
To be considered for this IS Technical Systems Analyst role you will require relevant experience of delivering an effective IT Service and experience of supporting similar sized organisations, as well as proven experience in the following technical areas:
, Implementation and managing Microsoft Azure and Office365 technologies.
, Installing and managing Microsoft Server, AD, ADFS, DNS, DHCP, NPS etc.
, Deploying and managing Microsoft Desktop, Remote management and software delivery.
, Managing Complex Microsoft Exchange and Mail systems.
, Managing complex WAN/LAN environments.
, Implementation of Security products, IPS, Mail scanning and encryption systems.
, Experience of hardware installation, Server, UPS, physical network infrastructure.
, Experience with enterprise level WiFi solutions
, Experience of disaster recovery preparation and testing
This IS Technical Systems Analyst vacancy is full time, working 36.25 hours per week, Monday to Friday.
The salary for the position is £34,840.78.
This is predominantly a home working role however frequent office visits will be required in particular to the main office in Newton Abbot.
Occasional travel to our other offices spread over Devon and Cornwall will also be required to provide onsite support
