Nursery Nurse

Nurse Seekers are proud to be working on behalf of a thriving small independent day nursery who are looking to employ a Level 3 Qualified Nursery Nurse for their quality setting based near Canterbury.

The Nursery Nurse must be passionate, enthusiastic and driven to give young children the best early years education and care needed for their development.

You are Required to have:

• Early Years Level 3 Qualification
•  Experience in providing professional childcare for children from birth to 3 Years

Key Responsibilities

• To contribute to the day to day organisation of the nursery in line with the requirements of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS), Safeguarding and Welfare requirements, the Childcare Act 2006 and Health and Safety legislation
• Ensure close supervision of all children within the nursery at all times
• Help to support and mentor other practitioners and students / volunteers in their daily practice.
•  Be a good communicator, used to building relationships with children, parents and professionals to deliver thoughtful and creative childcare
• Make accurate and effective assessments of the children during the key stages of development
• Adhere to the policies and procedures at Nursery and work within the Child protection act, health and safety legislation and
• within the guidelines of Ofsted and National Standards
• To work as part of a team and support members of staff and children in the nursery.
• Carry out regular head-counts helping to ensure that staff within the area know how many children are present at any given time.
