Band 6 Sexual Health Nurse

An amazing new job opportunity has arisen for a motivated Band 6 Sexual Health Nurse to work in an exceptional medical centre based in the Grimsby, South Humberside area.

This special medical centre provides information and advice on all types of contraception and STI testing and treatment

*To be considered for this position you must be qualified as a Nurse with current active NMC Pin and at least 2 years' experience working as a sexual health nurse

As a Sexual Health Nurse your key duties include:



  • You'll have the option to join your clinical specialism, networking with professionals from across the country.

  • Get together regularly, auditing and sharing standard methodology for innovation and service re-design.

  • You'll be a part of the pool of subject matter experts bringing together clinical and operational leads.

    You will be a part of quality improvements, research and development activity

  • You will work with Band 6 nurses, Healthcare Assistants, Consultants and a dedicated administration team

  • Provide high quality nursing care for patients attending the service

  • You will deliver integrated sexual health provision to clients of all ages and from a diverse range of cultural and social backgrounds

  • You will be expected to be flexible and able to travel to various locations across the localities



The following skills and experience would be preferred and beneficial for the role:



  • Be coil and implant trained

  • Have at least 2 years' experience working as a sexual health nurse

  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal

  • Knowledge of public health issues in the local area

  • Experience of contraception services



The successful Sexual Health Nurse will receive an excellent salary up to £39,027 per annum.

This exciting position is a Part Time role working 15 hours a week.
