An incredible opportunity has just become available for a Community Support Worker to work for a private Rapid Response Service based in Colchester and covering the North East Essex area.

Temporary Pay Rate: £11.82ph ltd + MILEAGE 45p per mile



Permanent Annual Salary: from £18,525 pa



Hours and length of contract:



  • FULL TIME 37.5 hours

  • Shift Pattern as below:

    • Week 1: Monday to Friday

    • Week 2: Wednesday to Sunday

    • 07:00 - 15:00 OR 15:00 - 23:00 (30 mins break)



  • Initial 3 month contract (likelihood of extension and potential permanent opportunity)

  • The manager is looking for the position to be filled ASAP



Daily Duties:


You will be working for within the community for the Rapid Response Service for an award winning Housing Association, covering the North East Essex area which includes Colchester, Clacton and Tendering.


The service works alongside Colchester Hospital to provide short term support to people in the community to prevent hospital admission or support service users after discharge.


Service users have varying needs so every day will be different! You will be supporting those above and below 65 years of age, those with Dementia, Learning Disabilities, Mental Health difficulties, Physical Disabilities and Sensory Impairments.


Daily duties include but are not limited to:



  • Providing person centred care, helping them with their medication, personal care, moving and handling and promoting independence.


  • Having conversations with service users and making a difference in their lives

  • Recording the support provided, updating case notes and records

  • Working with the customers, family members, friends and other professionals as and when appropriate to ensure that their goals are being met and they are happy

Person specification:


The applicant must have recent experience within the field and be DBS cleared.


Covid Vaccine and Hep B Vaccine DESIRABLE.
