Social worker

Service Care Solutions are currently recruiting for a Qualified Social Worker in Northampton to work in a Children's Social Services Department This position will be based in a busy Assessment Team.

Our social workers receive training in Signs of Safety and this approach underpins the core social worker training programme.

Focusing on achieving excellence in the basics of relationships, assessment, planning and purposeful intervention, this will provide a platform for further more specialist training.

Relocation Allowance

We offer a relocation allowance of up to £8,000 to support those candidates moving from further afield.

We also offer a Travel Allowance of up to £150 per week for those staff who live in excess of 60 miles from their base work location.

Annual leave

You will receive a generous annual leave allowance which starts at 25 days plus 7 bank holidays and rises to 31 days plus bank holidays with five years' service.

You will also have the opportunity to buy up to 25 additional day's extra annual leave per year.

Team and service managers complete a four-module programme covering the key skills and knowledge needed to be effective social work managers.

This is supported by group coaching and action learning sets to ensure learning is carried forward into day to day practice.

In addition, our managers are fully trained in Signs of Safety and complete a range of on-line and face to face corporate training in the systems, processes and expectations of the Trust.

Learning and Development

We place great emphasis on ensuring staff benefit from training that builds on previous knowledge and equips them to practice to a high standard, and our programme complements different learning styles.

Formats include face-to-face training, e-learning, coaching, action learning sets, bitesize continuous professional development sessions.

Essential requirements for this role include:

*A degree or masters in Social Work (or any other recognised equivalent qualification)

*HCPC registration

*At least 2 years post qualifying relevant experience in a similar field

*Must be a driver
