A Part-time Crisis Recovery Worker vacancy has become available for a Mental Health Service Safe Haven in Canterbury for a private national mental health organisation.

Location - Canterbury, Kent


Contract - Temporary to Permanent: 15 to 30 hours per week


Temporary rates - £11 ph Ltd


Salary: £20,994 pro rata


Hours - 6pm- 11 pm



This is a temporary to permanent position.

You will interview with the intention of joining the client under permanent employment and start the contract on an agency basis to get you started more efficiently.

You be placed on to the internal rolling rota and be fully inducted into the service like a permanent member of staff.



Role: To work with service users, delivering a recovery service offering empathy and de-escalation in aiming to improve the service users state of mental health.

You will be working with mental health professionals to promote mental wellbeing paired with physical health through empowerment and structured processes.

You will continue to monitor the service users by reporting on their condition upon their visits providing accurate details of the client's recovery then reporting and working in line with relevant health authorities allowing for future recovery.

In the absence of the practice lead, you will be required to fill their role, gaining extra team leader experience and promoting for a more senior role.



Candidate Requirements:



  • NVQ Level 3 in Health & Social Care - Essential

  • Experience of working in a social care setting, or prior mental health support work experience.


  • Preferable to have previous experience in supporting in initial phase of crisis.

  • Great interpersonal, communication and listening skills.

  • Understanding principles of Care and Mental Health Act.


  • Knowledge of data management systems is needed to interpret data and write reports for service management.
