Governance Manager


Job title - Governance Manager
Location - Nottingham, NG2
Contract - Approximately 6 months
Hours - Full time 37 hours per week
Start Date - Asap

The Role Summary
Our client is looking for a temporary Governance Manager to come on board and support the executive team and trust board to design, implement and support the highest quality governance.


Your key duties within the role will include:



  • Ensures the right structures and systems are in place for the effective running of Company business including agenda preparation and support the planning of Board and Committee work.

  • Operationally manage the effective governance of the Company's subsidiaries

  • Managing the compliance for the company and other corporate legislation across NCH and escalate as necessary.

  • Provides professional support to Board Members making sure they are fully supported and equipped to carry out their work.

  • Assist with the effective support of Board recruitment, development and succession planning Operationally manage administration across the company, to ensure Corporate filing and administrative systems are in place and adhered to Respond to and act upon Freedom of Information and Data Protection Act requests and issues

  • Provides effective PA and support services to Executive Management team.



Key requirements



  • Knowledge and understanding of the framework relating to governance

  • Experience of committee administration, agenda management and interpretation of documents

  • Knowledge of Freedom of Information/ Data Protection

  • Engage, motivate and develop people

  • Excellent written, verbal & interpersonal skills

  • Able to work collaboratively and communicate at all levels

  • Performance manager

  • Make clear decisions on complex issues

  • Make best use of the resources available

  • Ability to utilise financial management Systems
