Family Support Worker

Service Care Solutions are recruiting at the moment for a Family Support Worker to work on behalf of Wirral Council.

This is a fantastic opportunity for the right person to make a real difference in the lives of the most vulnerable children, young people and families.

The role is a full time position and is on a 6 month initial contract which will be reviewed for extension following this time.

As an FSW working for Wirral's Children's Services in a statutory role, you are going to be working directly with children, young people and their families on a one-to-one basis, to enable them achieve their best outcomes, capturing their daily lived experiences, using the SFEF approach.

You will liaise closely with the allocated Social Worker to provide updates and developments on your role and involvement with the families.

You will also attend multi-agency care planning meetings to provide information about your intervention, its progress and any recommendations and/or concerns that you may have.

You will also be expected to write good quality reports for court as directed and record your involvement on the child/young person's records using the SFEF approach to capture the children and young people's daily lived experience.

Essential criteria:
- Experience or direct work with children and families, assessing level of needs and providing support within their homes.

- An enhanced DBS.

- A full driver's license and access to their own vehicle.
