Information and Governance Legal Assistant

Service Care Legal Recruitment are currently recruiting on behalf of a Local Authority based in the West Midlands who are currently in need of an Information and Governance Legal Assistant to join their team.


Role: Information and Governance Legal Assistant


Rate: £15.78-£18ph PAYE


Contract Length: 3 months ongoing, 37 hours a week


Location: West Midlands, hybrid working


The Role:



  • To undertake legal and administrative duties within Legal and Governance Services

  • To provide advice, guidance and support in relation to all Governance issues across the council.

  • To assist with and take witness statement in relation to Judicial review proceedings as and when required and prepare evidence bundles for the same.


The Person:



  • Someone who has experience of dealing with Information Governance, GDPR, FOI, SAR and data breaches

  • Someone who has 12 months experience as a Information and Governance Legal Assistant

  • Ideally someone who has worked for a Local Authority
