Deputy Manager

A brand new position has just become available for a Deputy Manager to join a private supported living service in Nottinghill (West London) for young people with babies.

Temporary Pay Rate: £21ph ltd

Hours and length of contract:

  • FULL TIME - shift pattern open to negotiation

    • 08:00 - 14:00/09:00 - 14:00

    • 09:00 - 17:00

    • 14:00 - 21:00 (occasionally)

  • Shift patter will include a few days per week supernumerary

  • Initial 2 month contract length, likelihood of extension

  • The manager is looking for the position to be filled ASAP.

Daily Duties:

The service supports mothers 16+ years of age and their babies with complex needs which can include those with histories involving Domestic Violence.

Responsibilities include:

  • Lead the Team to deliver a range of support services and to work flexibly within a rota system

  • Accept & process referrals within the agreed procedures & time scales

  • Support staff to conduct interviews and complete risk assessments

  • Record the Petty Cash, produce the rota, complete the payroll spreadsheet

  • Support with Recruitment, personnel issues and being responsible for the clients, staff and building.

  • Support clients working to an agreed support plan

  • Collect & follow procedures for rent accounts

  • Contribute to the day to day management of the project.

Person specification:

The applicant must be DBS cleared and have a relevant leadership and management qualification (equivalent to NVQ Level 4 or above) AND experience of working with children.
