Support Worker
Job Description
A support worker role situated in a residential college for young people 16-25, with learning difficulties and disabilities.

You will be supporting the residents with their day to day lives, helping them to develop key communication skills allowing them to flourish.



Shifts - 7.15am-3.15pm, 2.15pm.10.15pm, 10pm-7.30am
Hours - Full Time or Part Time
Pay



  • Standard Days: £10.79ph ltd

  • Nights & Saturdays: £11ph ltd

  • Sundays: £11.50ph ltd

  • Bank Holidays - £14ph ltd




Location - Southport, Lancashire
A full time or part time agency position for an initial 3-month period.

You will be working as a member of the dedicated support work team delivering assistance and care to the service users, in the residential side of the college.

Each young person is provided with a personalised programme of care to enable them to live as independently as possible.

This role will involve supporting the service users that suffer from learning difficulties and disabilities daily.

As a support worker you will be expected to assist in the execution of these programmes working closely with the service users.

This role is based in the residential side of the college helping the service users by meeting their needs and creating positive relationships ensuring the young people grow and develop.


Candidate Requirements



  • The candidate must have recent experience in the field, specifically working with young people in a residential care environment

  • The candidate would preferably hold an NVQ Lv3 in Health and Social Care

  • The candidate must understand the importance of strict confidentiality

  • Flexibility towards working unsociable hours
