Repairs Manager

A local authority based in Rugby are looking for a Repairs Manager to join their team.

This is a temporary ongoing vacancy.


The main purpose of the role is to manage the Property Repairs Team to ensure the delivery of high quality services in line with the expectations of the Council's Housing Department and its tenants.


To develop the service to one that provides building maintenance services to the private and commercial sector.


The post holder advises the council generally, on policy matters within the post holder's responsibilities.

The postholder works with council staff, at all levels, working under their own direction, receiving general guidance on corporate and service policy and priorities.


The postholder is responsible for the overall management of the Property Repairs Service and will support the Head of Corporate Resources other unit managers to deliver the Council's corporate objectives.


Successful applicants must have previous experience working with repairs/planned maintenance in a local authority/housing association.


The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate the following competencies/attributes;


Ideally Local Authority experience


Previous experience running a team carrying out property repairs and/or planned maintenance
