Health and Safety Manager

A local authority based in Bournemouth are looking for an experienced Health and Safety Manager to join their team.

This is a temporary ongoing vacancy.

The main purpose of the role is to develop and manage a team of community safety staff, including project officers and data analysts.

You will manage the Council's statutory duties and support the delivery of strategy work alongside operational priorities.

Foster constructive relationships with external partners, such as the Fire and Rescue services, Dorset Police, the probation service, Clinical Commissioning Group, and the Mental Health Trust and solicit their engagement and involvement in the developing partnership structure and processes.

Provide professional advice and expertise in the identification of factors that are impeding effective delivery processes and work with strategic and operational managers to outline the systems and processes that may involve the Council, partner agencies and community-based resources.

Successful applicants must have a thorough local authority experience within Health and Safety.

The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate the following competencies/attributes;

Local Authority experience

Previous experience of Health and Safety, ideally working on Community projects.
