Deputy Ward Manager

An amazing new job opportunity has arisen for a committed Deputy Ward Manager to work in an exceptional service based in the Melton Mowbray, Leicestershire area.

As Deputy Ward Manager you will be working for one of UK's leading health care providers



This is a neurobehavioral locked rehabilitation hospital for patients with acquired brain injury and neuro progressive conditions patient displaying co-existing neuropsychiatric conditions and challenging behaviour



As the Deputy Ward Manger your key responsibilities include:



  • Provide senior nursing leadership to the ward nursing team in support of the Ward Manager

  • Works as Senior Nurse in a Ward or equivalent area ensuring a safe and therapeutic environment for patients, their families and visitors

  • Provides Clinical Supervision to a group of defined nursing staff

  • Undertakes Lead roles for the ward, as agreed with the Ward manager

  • Actively supports and contributes to effective Multi Disciplinary Working



The following skills and experience would be preferred and beneficial for the role:



  • Trained Mentor

  • Clinical Supervision experience essential, training desirable

  • Evidence of Continued Professional Development and intent to maintain and develop Continued professional development and leadership

  • Good computer skills

  • A degree of clinical experience and leadership that provides expertise and confidence to the nursing team and ward overall



The successful Deputy Ward Manager will receive an excellent salary up to £33,000 per annum DOE.

This exciting position is a Full Time role working 37.5 hours a week.
