Transition Manager (Police)

Service Care Solutions are looking for an experienced Transition Manager to work on a full-time contract with a local police force in London.

Working as part of a team to keep London safe by ensuring a safe, fit-for-purpose and available vehicle fleet at the lowest possible cost to address operational policing demands and meet externally set standards and with a specific purpose to:

Knowledge & Experience

  • A successful career in contract management and/ or procurement.

    Ideally MCIPS/IACCM qualified or working towards these qualifications.

  • Knowledge of processes required to manage contract exit and transition including an understanding of HR implications.

  • Knowledge of UK Procurement Legislation (Public Contract Regulations, and Defence and Security Public Contract Regulations).

  • PRINCE2 or equivalent qualification.

  • Experience of using systems to generate management information and reporting, to drive decision-making.

  • Experience of working at varying levels with internal and external stakeholders.


  • Strong project management skills.

  • Contract management expertise, and a good understanding of the processes required to achieve a successful exit or transition.

  • Adept at critical thinking and problem solving.

  • Effective decision-maker.

  • Good data analysis.

  • Excellent written and oral communication; ability to engage a diverse group of stakeholders and clearly articulate recommendations to senior managers.

  • Strong stakeholder management and interpersonal skills: open-minded and a good listener, understanding differing needs; but also persuasive and influential.

  • Ability to negotiate at a senior level.

Ability to prioritise and manage own workload; balancing both operationally urgent and important tasks to deliver to deadlines.
