Outpatient & Pre-Assessment Manager

A fantastic new job opportunity has arisen for a dedicated Outpatient & Pre-Assessment Manager to work in an exceptional private hospital service based in the Nottingham area.

You will be working for one of UK’s leading health care providers


This service is a private hospital with an excellent reputation for delivering high quality healthcare for self pay/insured and NHS patients.

The private hospital treatments include full diagnostic and endoscopy procedures, weight loss surgery, orthopaedic surgery including spinal treatment, physiotherapy and cosmetic surgery


As the Outpatient & Pre-Assessment Manager your key responsibilities include:

·         Provide leadership for Outpatient / ACU Department

·         Day to day operational management, electronic rostering, staff appraisals & training, and budgetary accountability

·         Develop excellent working relationships with staff, Consultants, suppliers and key stakeholders

·         Provide effective motivation, monitoring and management of the Outpatient team

·         Build effective controls to ensure the Department’s Key Performance Indicator and financial targets are achieved

·         Ensure there is a robust process for Patient Related Outcome Measures (PROMS)

·         Provide departmental leadership for infection control, health & safety, complaint investigation, central alert process, staff development, risk and clinical audit

·         Undertake interdepartmental investigations

·         Manage staff through HR process

·         Leading on pathway implementation/change in OPD/ACU


The following skills and experience would be preferred and beneficial for the role:

·         Experience in a managerial role

·         Strong clinical background

·         Comprehensive understanding of relevant clinical standards

·         Knowledge of quality frameworks

·         Coaching, mentoring and staff development skills


The successful Outpatient & Pre-Assessment Manager will receive an excellent salary from £40,000 up to £46,000 per annum.

This exciting position is a Full Time role working 37.5 hours a week.
