Health & Safety Officer
A local authority based in South Gloucestershire are looking for an experienced Health & Safety Officer to join their team.
This role is an ongoing temporary post.
The main purpose of the role is to develop and implement health & safety policy initiatives, including persuading and influencing people of the key priorities and proposals.
This will include working with employee safety representatives and Trade Unions.
To carry out incident investigation, report writing and supporting liability claim responses.
This will include the use of analytical interpreting, negotiating and communication skills, which supports your experience in attending staff health and safety consultation meetings to deliver statistical data.
The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate the following competencies/attributes;
Previous experience of health and safety, either within an Officer or Advisory capacity.
Ideally candidates will have local authority experience.
