Business Analyst - Police

Service Care Solutions are looking for a team of Business Analysts to work on a long-term, full-time contract with a local Police Force in Wymondham.

Principal purpose of the role

To provide comprehensive business analytical capability including the application or relevant analytical techniques to gather and interpret information in support of the development and delivery of project work-streams, continuous improvement aims and objectives, creating analytical products to aid decision making.

Main activities of the role (This list is not exhaustive)

∙ Working under the direction of the Higher Business Analyst, gather and analyse data, investigate and identify inefficiencies and areas for improvement in business processes delivering proposals for change and improvement.

∙ Undertake business analysis and process mapping as part of project support and continuous improvement activities.

Work with project managers/operational leads to identify potential efficiency gains.

Apply appropriate business analysis and improvement methodologies.

∙ Support project managers in ensuring project deliverables are achieved, problem solving issues which arise within the work-stream and reporting/escalating these issues as appropriate.

∙ Produce summary reports and present information (written and oral) of findings, outcomes and proposals

∙ Assist project managers with preparation of business cases and other related project documentation

∙ Gather, verify and assess all available and appropriate information to gain an accurate understanding of situations and their business, strategic and operational context.

∙ Work closely with Improvement Officers to provide a coordinated Improvement and Evaluation function across both Constabularies

a) The purpose of this job description is to indicate the general level of the duties and responsibility of the role, the duties may from time to time vary without changing the general character of the role or the levels of responsibilities.

b) Whilst the role is normally based at the aforementioned location, you may be required to work at other establishments across both Norfolk and Suffolk Constabularies as may be reasonably required.
Police Staff Conditions of Service will be adhered to in such instances.

c) All duties must be carried out in accordance with relevant Health and Safety legislation and good practice.
