Ops Manager

A Construction company based in Glasgow is looking for an Operations Manager to join their Investment team.

This is a full time, temporary ongoing agency role and the successful candidate will have a full relevant Construction/Management qualification, extensive experience with Internal & External construction projects and ideally experience in a similar Operations management role in Construction/Maintenance.

The main purpose of the role is to manage your business activities and projects from inception through to completion.

This will include liaising with relevant stakeholders and supervision of all employees under your control.

The successful candidate will have experience in managing various internal & external multi skilled projects ensuring all works are completed satisfactory, liaising with customers and clients at all times.

The successful candidate will need to demonstrate the following;

Relevant Qualification in Construction/Management

Be an experienced supervisor and have excellent inter personal and communication skills.

Have a broad knowledge of operations and be able to represent the interests of the client at all times.

Demonstrable track record in service delivery.

Fully conversant with up to date issues within the business area and an innovative approach to new developments and advances in technology.

Comfortable working at a first line management level and reporting to the Contracts Manager

Have a commitment to identification of development needs both on a personal basis and for your team.

Have a flexible approach to this role and in your contribution to the success of the business.

The main responsibilities associated with this role are as follows;

Direct responsibility for the support of employees in project delivery and a duty to ensure that work is carried out to a high standard and that clients are kept fully informed of progress

Assist in the procurement of any sub-contractors when required and will regularly monitor and report on the progress of these members of the supply chain.

Manage all resources related to your business activities and you will be required to provide relevant management information for all aspects of your business activity including key performance indicators.

Responsibility for ensuring that operations are administered in such a way that all information is recorded correctly and that strict cost controls are adhered to in relation to materials, labour, plant and sub-contractors.

A further key requirement of the post is compliance with all relevant legislation and the implementation of policies and procedures and monitoring arrangements in support of this.

You will assist in preparing and maintaining an agreed set of quality procedures for your area of operation.

The client is looking to move quickly with appointing to this position and as such is offering an hourly rate of £25 - £28 p/hr Umbrella Ltd dependant on skills, experience and qualifications (Approx.

£620 - £690 p/week NET after deductions).
