Project Support Officer - Police

Service Care Solutions are looking for an experienced Project Officer to work on a full-time contract with a local police force in London.


Main purpose of the role:


The Project Officer will work as part of the team to develop and deliver against the objectives of the NPCC Operating Model Pathfinder programme.

The programme has been initiated to design and implement a new way of working for NPCC, ensuring it can deliver enhanced co-ordination, collaboration and communication on behalf of police leaders, both within the NPCC and as part of the wider policing system.


The role will specifically:




  • Develop and deliver against identified work strands for NPCC Operating Model in line with overall programme objectives




  • Assist the programme with identifying and implementing efficient, effective and sustainable change management.


Main responsibilities:






1.

Excellent communications and interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with people at all levels establishing credibility and influencing stakeholders.

Experience of negotiating and influencing, and problem solving across a complex multi-agency environment.



2.

Experience and understanding of working in a confidential and/or politically sensitive environment.



3.

Experience of delivering transformation projects within a complex environment



4.

Ability to work on own initiative, manage and facilitate workshops, analyse and collate information to produce clear, concise products and reports as required


5.

Excellent communication and engagement skills are vital to this role.


6.

The job holder will have regular communications with the NPCC core team, NPCC leads, their staff, government departments and key stakeholders, be required to develop and maintain relationships throughout the life of the programme.


7.

This role require specific skills in presenting developing, complex issues to a variety of audiences, and facilitating consultation workshops, to evolve the work of the programme.


8.

Written communication will involve the production of presentations, reports and products as required in the progress of the programme timely and accurate appropriate programme documentation, management and assurance reports, maintaining accurate financial records and, providing secretariat support to the programme board.


It is essential that the post holder works flexibly with the programme lead and programme manager to ensure the programmes objectives are delivered.
