Purpose of post

 To competently complete the registration process with Ofsted and become the Registered Manager

 To establish and maintain standards and monitor the delivery of high quality, child centred care to children and young people referred to our service in accordance with Solace Care Ltd policies and procedures.

 To monitor and maintain good practice in accordance with the Children's Homes Regulations 2015 and the Children Act 1989 in a professional manner, and other relevant legislation.

 To proactively lead the staff team consistently in conjunction with the deputy and team leaders with the aim of creating and delivering a safe and warm environment in which Children and Young People can achieve the positive outcomes identified.

 To act as a positive role model, using effective communication and appropriate language; to do with colleagues rather than instruct others to do on behalf of you whilst also delegating tasks appropriate to ability to enable the development of staff skills.

 To provide professional supervision for all staff, some of which is delegated through other senior staff, to aid their development, learning and understanding of their role, provide constructive criticism and contribute to regular appraisals.

 To contribute to the recruitment process including; short listing for interviews and undertaking membership of the interview panel.

 To be pro-active in organising visits, forwarding appropriate material to referring authorities and families.

the salary for this post will be 40-45k an increase on this amount should we get the right candiate.
