Support Worker

Service Care Solutions are looking for a learning disabilities support worker to work for a private learning and physical disabilities residential service in Weston-super-Mare.


You would be working as part of a comprehensive support team in assisting service users within the residential complex to carry out the core skills to live as independently as possible.


Hours: Full-time / Long days & Waking Nights


Pay Rates: £11.00 ph Ltd Days - £11.50 ph Ltd Nights + Weekends - £12.00 ph Ltd Sundays
Location: Weston-super-Mare.


Role:
The service is specific to 14 residents with severe and moderate learning disabilities, complex behaviours and autistic spectrum conditions, who may also have communication difficulties.

You will also be providing support with their physical health, promoting fitness and healthy eating, care pathways which follow a model of positive behaviour to increase independence.

Each service user will require varying degrees of assistance and training depending on their individual needs and you are responsible for the safe delivery of high quality professional care and services.

Candidate Requirements:
, Preferable to have previous experience within with learning and physical disability support role
, Preferable to have NVQ 2 in Health and Social Care or equivalent
, Flexible towards shifts
, Preferable to have a valid DBS
