Maintenance Manager

A Local Authority based in Lincolnshire is looking for a Maintenance Manager to join their team.

This is a full time, temporary ongoing agency role and the successful candidate will have a full relevant Construction qualification or extensive construction management experience, extensive experience with repairs and maintenance works, experience with domestic property repairs and ideally experience in a similar local authority or housing role.

The main purpose of the role is to manage the delivery of efficient high quality and cost effective property maintenance service for the Council's housing stock.

The successful candidate will need to demonstrate the following;

Membership of an appropriate professional body relevant to the functions of the job
Degree level education or equivalent through relevant training / experience and / or evidence of continuous professional development
Experience in the construction industry in a professional capacity preferably in a housing/service environment
Experience of managing a diverse range of skills to meet strategic objectives
Experience and understanding of Partnering, including Open Book reviews within the construction industry
Proven knowledge of health and safety policies and regulations

The main responsibilities associated with this role are as follows;

To directly develop and manage all budgets and resources to deliver an efficient customer focussed responsive and voids maintenance service.
To become a Partner to the Housing Landlord function by ensuring that all aspects of the repairs function are Egan compliant, deliver Value for Money, meet Constructing Excellence objectives and are working towards a 3 star ‘Excellent' rating for the Housing Service.
To be directly responsible for delivering top quartile performance in responsive and voids service.
To develop the further use of IT systems in delivering the repairs service to improve efficiency and customer service.
Acting as lead relationship manager with partners and relevant benchmarking organisations.

Develop effective working relationships with cabinet Members and other service managers.
To initiate and implement organisational improvement plans for maintenance services and performance meeting the requirements of the Audit Commission.
To initiate creative and innovative solutions leading improvements in the delivery of the responsive and voids services.

The client is looking to move quickly with appointing to this position and as such is offering an hourly rate of £24 - £26 p/hr Umbrella Ltd (Approx.

£600 - £650 p/week NET after deductions).
