Hull Head of Financial Accounts

Calling all Senior Financial Managers with NHS experience! Our NHS client in Hull is looking to recruit an experienced Finance Manager to work an agency contract.

Hours: On site 2 days a week, and the option to work from home for the other 3 days.



Role: Head of Financial accounts, specialising in accounting and audit treasury.



Role length: 3-6 Months

Pay rate: £28.19 LTD Per Hour

You will be paid via an umbrella company weekly, (there will be a small weekly fee for this)

Location: Hull

Job role.

This role is responsible for the providing a comprehensive financial accountant service and support to the Trust.

This includes the production of the statutory accounts, monitoring reports, cash flow forecasts and Board reports.

It acts as the Trust's technical expert of accounting, accounting standards ensuring they are all reflected in accounting policies and practice.

They will produce the written financial reports and returns for the Trust Board, Audit committee, NHS regulators and the Performance and Finance Committee.

The role also works very closely with the Trust's outsourced financial services provider and leads on managing that contract on behalf of the Trust.

The Post is the relationship lead of Internal and External Audit functions.

To assist the Divisional Director of Operations/Executive Directors in preparing the Division's business plan, ensuring cost.

pressures and service changes are identified and resourced appropriately.
To contribute to the Trust's annual and longer term financial strategy and business planning process.
To manage and oversee the provision of timely and accurate financial management information, analysis and advice used for performance monitoring and decision-making.
To develop the use of information technology as a means of recording and disseminating information to service users.
To lead on developing and maintaining professional standards within the Finance Department and to actively seek and encourage feedback from users of financial services to enable continuous improvement plans to be implemented.
To select, manage, motivate and train the junior staff, enabling them to reach their full potential in the achievement of goals and objectives.

This includes responsibility for undertaking Personal Development reviews / appraisals for staff.
