We have an exciting opportunity to join our sales team for a one-year contract!

About Us
Hosting a range of corporate events, conferences, film and TV productions, and exhibitions, Kensington Conference and Events Centre is one of the largest venues in central London.

Together with The Orangery Gallery in Holland Park and Chelsea Old Town Hall, it makes up the Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea's prestigious portfolio of venues for hire.

Our facilities, including professional support services and a dedicated in-house events team, are in demand from a diverse range of high-profile clients, and create vital revenue for the borough.

The Role
Working closely with our Senior Sales Manager, you'll generate bookings for these three iconic venues.

At heart, this role is about creating a good impression and then delivering on our promises.

One of your most important tasks will be to explore and understand the needs of potential clients, then respond with carefully tailored information and timely quotes.

You'll be required to conduct site visits to sell the venues and actively promote additional services and identify upselling opportunities in order to increase revenue.

You will manage the invoices and finances for each event and ensure all accounts are cleared in a timely manner.

You will liaise with external suppliers, including AV companies, set-builders and caterers and ensure adherence to the health and safety regulations for each venue.

In addition, you will also be involved in marketing activities such as maintaining our client database, attending promotional events, writing media releases, and updating the conference and events microsite.

Plus, you'll get a taste of hands-on management by acting as the Orangery Event Manager for wedding ceremonies.

About You
You'll bring substantial experience in the events industry, including time in a sales and marketing role, and will be used to working to team targets.

Exceptionally well-organised, with a strong customer service ethic, you'll be ready to work flexibly under pressure to meet the changing needs of our clients.

Creative thinking is often vital, especially in responding to current pandemic restrictions.

You'll also be proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and PowerPoint) and be ready to learn our Windows-based booking and client management system.

Strong written and spoken communication skills are essential, as is the ability to build rapport with different people.

Pay: £15 - £18.50 per hour

*Service Care Solutions also offer a referral fee of £250 for anyone you may know.

Once they are placed and complete their probationary period you receive a £250 bonus!
