ERDF Project Manager

A local authority based in North West London is looking for an ERDF Project Manager to join their team.

This is a full time, temporary ongoing agency contract and the successful candidate must have a full relevant Project Management qualification, extensive experience with European Development Funds and Grants and ideally extensive experience within a similar Project Manager role for local authority.

The successful candidate MUST have experience of ERDF projects and grants, candidates without this experience will be deemed unsuccessful.



The main purpose of the role is to oversee the delivery of the “Welcome Back Programme”, using shared grants from the European Regional Development Fund to support the re-opening of the clients town centre and associated businesses.

Additional Duties will include;

To project manage the delivery of the ERDF Welcome Back programme.
To ensure compliance with all relevant legislation and the terms and conditions of grant funding's.
To develop a programme of activities to support the full reopening of the Town Centre, district and local centres.


To develop an action plan to support the reopening with the Communication team, Public Protection, Licensing, Transport Highways and Asset Management, Economic Development, Street Cleaning, and Planting).


Externally the Project Manager will work with Business Improvement District and Traders Associations.


To complete funding claims and monitoring information in compliance with the requirements of the funding body.

Other duties associated with the role will include;

Developing an action plan for safe reopening of local High Streets
Communications and public information; This can include.
Publicity campaigns and marketing activity for street food markets to support local businesses.


Business-facing awareness raising activities.
Temporary public realm changes to ensure that reopening of local economies can be managed successfully and safely.


Support and promote a safe public environment for a local area's visitor economy; and allow local areas to develop plans for responding to the medium-term impact of CV-19 including trialling new ideas particularly where these relate to the High Street.


Improving green space and seating areas to encourage people back to town centres
Beautification of areas to support the visitor economy.

The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate the following competencies/attributes;

Degree, Diploma or equivalent in a related discipline, or relevant experience in a similar position.
Project Management qualification, or relevant experience in a similar position.
Working knowledge of relevant Health, Safety and Welfare legislation and approved Codes of Practices.
Understanding of the political context and environment of Local Government
Extensive experience with EDRF/RHSSF

The client is looking to move quickly with appointing to this position and as such, are offering a rate of £30 p/hour Umbrella Ltd dependant on experience/tickets (approx.

£730 NET p/week after deductions) for the duration of the role.
