Our client are looking for an experienced internal communications specialist to join their growing team.

They are an ambitious an organisation with plans to increase the homes it manages in the coming months and years to come.

Working right across Kent, their staff are based in a number of different locations and they need someone that can help to devise and implement an internal communications strategy that will ensure they feel connected and engaged.

Role Responsibilities -

Reporting to the Head of Communications and Engagement, and working collaboratively with the rest of the team and colleagues across the organisation you will:

, Supporting with the development of an internal communications strategy and being responsible for its implementation
, Devise, administer and champion internal communications channels
, Support the organisation's change programme
, Work closely with the Learning and Development Business Partner to develop and promote staff engagement activities
, Build the profile of resident involvement internally
, Support the continuous development of the intranet and be responsible for distributing a weekly round-up of stories, creating an ongoing/rolling plan for change based on each month's feedback/stats
, Raise the profile of regular engagement opportunities - for example CEO briefings and identify opportunities to create more
, Understand how internal communications impacts different teams, develop strategies to identify and engage some of the hardest to reach groups of staff in the organisation and increase their involvement in engagement activities
, Organise an annual staff conference and any other staff events
, Channel news for an external audience internally to promote the work of the Communications and Engagement team and raise the profile of the work of the organisation more widely
, Be an expert for internal communications across the sector, connect with others in similar organisations and continually research and share best practice
Essential Criteria -

, Able to build rapport, collaborate, and influence a diverse range of stakeholders, including senior management.
, Internal communications experience gained in a similar organisation
, Excellent writing skills
, Knowledge of CMS, preferable Interact
, Confident, collaborative
, Good IT skills, Powerpoint
, Can demonstrate Innovative and creative thinking
