Support Worker

NEW VACANCY! Service Care Solutions are recruiting for a full time learning disabilities support worker for a 10 bed private specialist residential service for men and women with a range of learning disabilities, including autism and/or sensory and communication impairments - Oxted, Surrey.
Hours - 35 Per week / 5 days / Full time / Permanent
Shifts: 07:00 - 15:00 / 13:30 - 21:30
Pay - £11.60 Ltd Ph / (£9.61 Ph PAYE) / £18,812 approx per annum
Location - Oxted, Surrey
To work as part of a team under a registered manager to support the residents of the home towards leading an independent life as possible.

Each resident will have varying degrees of needs for support therefore, your support will be flexible and specific varying across the residents of the home.

Clients may be transitioning from children's residential services, education, or moving out of the family home as well as aiming to avoid inappropriate hospital admissions.

Daily Duties include
, Supporting with everyday life activities - Washing, cleaning, cooking, finances etc.
, Assisting to maintain mental and physical health
, Social activities - engaging with friends and family - community activities
, Keeping clear and concise records

Candidate Requirements:
, Preferable to have previous experience within with learning and physical disability support role
, Enthusiastic personality
, Clear and sound communication skills
, Flexible towards shifts
, Preferable to have a valid DBS
