Health Care Assistant / Support Worker

Salary per hour: £11.13 ph ltd
(£9.25 PAYE exc)

Hours and length of contract:
, Permanent position
, Full Time or Part time hours: 22 - 44 hours per week
, Flexible shifts on a Rota Basis (to be discussed at interview)

Daily Duties:
The client is a nationwide family-owned provider of expert care homes for older adults and those living with dementia.

You will work within one of the purpose-built homes to provide personal care, companionship and friendship to the residents, whilst promoting independence in a safe and caring environment.

Daily duties include but are not limited to:
, Assisting Service Users, when required, with washing, toileting, dressing, undressing, and all other aspects of daily living.
, Promoting independence, encouraging participation of activities and or social events, enhancing wellbeing
, Ensuring residents' emotional and social well-being is maintained by actively communicating and listening to the residents' needs, and promoting their independence at all times
, Updating and maintaining documentation relating to the residents care to the highest of standards
, Carrying out housekeeping duties - residents' personal laundry, making of beds and ensuring residents bedrooms are clean and tidy
, Communicating at all levels with residents, team staff members, relatives, external professionals.
, Attend all staff meetings and staff supervision sessions as and when required.

The home is a purpose-built luxury Care Home in a prominent position conveniently located in Kendal and has excellent access to road, rail and bus links.

The home is both modern and classical and provides both single occupancy and also companion rooms with en-suites.
It is a spacious environment including cafés, comfortable and sociable dining areas, professional services such as physiotherapy, chiropody and optician services are available.

Person specification:
Relevant experience, in date DBS and QCF/NVQ in Health and Social Care.
