A new opportunity has arisen for an experienced support worker to join the team at The British Red Cross.

This is a perfect opportunity for somebody to join a supportive team, working sociable hours.

This is a reablement position, working within Service Users own homes who have just been discharged from hospital or as a preventative measure to prevent hospital admissions.

Your role will be providing practical and emotional support to service users living in their geographical locality.

This role is full time working Monday - Friday 10am-6pm and the rate of pay for this role is £10.55 hourly and this role is a 6 month contract to be reviewed for extension following this time.



The ideal candidate should have:
- A full, manual driver's license and access to own vehicle.
- Previous experience in support work is essential and hospital support work is desirable.
- All candidates should be aged 21 +
- Knowledge of health and social care including an awareness of safe moving and handling

Essential criteria
- Full enhanced DBS.
- Flexibility to work on a rota basis.
- Driving license and access to own vehicle as role is borough wide.
- 1+ years' experience in a similar position.
