A Housing Association based within the Boundaries of Tees Valley is looking for a Commercial Services Manager to join their team on a permanent basis.


This is a full time, permanent role and the ideal candidate will be a commercially focused, degree qualified (ideally chartered)/MCIOB individual with surveying experience preferably within a housing background.

The purpose of the role is to support the strategic management of Asset Investment Plan financial performance by monitoring, analysing and reporting on all Investment activity.

Manage main contractor and sub-contractor accounts from start to final account.

The main responsibilities of the role include:
Lead on commercial management associated with Asset Investment programmes and co-ordinate resources associated with providing good accounting and budget management.
Accountable for financial forecasts for Internal direct works teams', contractors', and partners' expenditure over the duration of projects.

Providing support for financial planning, forecasting and budget controls.
Provide a commercial appraisal report to the Senior Management Team on a monthly basis.
Lead on contract procurement, management and performance across the Asset Investment team and support Group Procurement through various frameworks that support our business requirements.

The ideal candidate will be:

A commercially focused, degree qualified (ideally chartered)/MCIOB individual with surveying experience preferably within a housing background.


Knowledge of NEC3 or NEC4 framework experience is preferable together with a solid understanding of JCT forms of contract and Alliance/Partnering and collaborative Contract management.


Demonstrable knowledge of commercial management in both public and private sectors.
Well-developed influencing, persuasive and negotiating skills.


Knowledge and awareness of legislation that is relevant to the construction industry.

The client is looking to move quickly with this role and as such are offering £52,375 per annum.
