Clinical Team Leader

A fantastic new job opportunity has arisen for a committed Clinical Team Leader to work in an exceptional hospital based in the Darlington, Country Durham area.

As the Clinical Team Leader you will be working for one of UK's leading health care providers

 

This hospital provides specialist inpatient care for adults with mental health needs, who present with complex needs and behaviours that challenge, in a safe and supportive environment

 

As the Clinical Team Leader your key responsibilities include:

·         You need to be able to demonstrate quality in delivery of nursing care and the clinical environment

·         Ensure that MHA and MCA standards are upheld and work to uphold NMC's code of practice whilst ensuring all relevant policies are in place, reviewed and updated as and when necessary (e.g.

ward guidelines/patient information) in liaison with the Ward Manager and MDT

·         Provide support for the Ward Manager in delivering Clinical Leadership for the nursing team at all times

·         You will participate in pre-admission assessments and the hospital clinical governance agenda and monitor standards of care through regular audit and take action where standards are not met

·         Ensure clinical records are well maintained and systems are in place for staff to communicate effectively on clinical issues ensuring awareness of legal implications and ensure all ward management responsibilities are met and all reports are up to date

·         Responsible for ensuring that the ward team possesses the skills, knowledge and motivation to deliver the highest quality of care to service users with complex mental health and self harming behaviour, and their families

 

An ideal Clinical Team Leader must have these skills and experience as they are beneficial for this position:

·         Excellent clinical, team and communication skills

·         Able to demonstrate quality in delivery of nursing care and the clinical environment

·         Be forward-thinking Nurses, who will lead and coach staff by example

·         Have noticeable leadership skills along with a strong drive to develop other members of the team

·         Able to show a can-do attitude always

 

The successful Clinical Team Leader will receive an excellent salary from £34,471.06 to £46,260.24 per annum + including enhancements.

This exciting position is a Full Time role working 37.5 hours a week.
