Practice Educator

An outstanding job opportunity has arisen for a committed Practice Educator to work in an exceptional hospital clinic based in the Hertfordshire area.

You will be working for one of UK's leading health care providers

 

This special clinic offers CAMHS Tier 4 low secure services for young people with a wide range of disorders and complex needs

 

As the Practice Educator your key responsibilities include:

·         Maintaining an identifiable clinical presence and undertake relevant clinical activities to maintain own clinical competency and support staff in developing clinical practice

·         Contributing to projects and initiatives as appropriate across CAMHS services

·         Keeping the management team abreast of professional, operational or clinical concerns and promote professional practice

·         Establish effective communication and good working relationships with multi professional and multi-agency colleagues to support effective service delivery

·         Undertaking clinical risk management and clinical audit

·         Train and support others in the assessment of patient needs, implementation and the evaluation of programmes of care which are evidence-based

·         To develop clinical skills of all newly appointed nursing/HCA’s staff to the CAMHS service

 

An ideal Practice Educator must have these skills and experience as they are beneficial for this position:

·         Significant experience of clinical training and teaching in a variety of settings.

·         Good personal management skills – time management, prioritising, planning

·         Good working knowledge of Safeguarding and Child Protection and recent research issue

·         Able to show a can-do attitude always

 

The successful Practice Educator will receive an excellent salary for £31,000 - £37,000 per annum DOE.

To be considered for this position you must be qualified as a Nurse either RGN, RMN or RNLD with a valid NMC Pin & have a recognised teaching degree
