Housing Support Worker - Salford
A large, north-west based housing association is recruiting for a Customer Support Coordinator to provide housing related support within a Supported Housing Scheme in Salford, ensuring that their residents receive high quality guidance and support and provide assistance with their preparations for moving on to permanent housing.
The focus of this role is to deliver a high quality housing support service in a supported housing setting and prepare them for movement in to their own accommodation.
You will be carrying a caseload of customers who require support, and as part of the team, you will have a shared responsibility for the efficient running of the scheme, including responsibility for quality, compliance and Health and Safety
Your main responsibilities within this role will include:
, Responsible for the effective daily assessment and sign up of new customers, explaining tenancy conditions, rent payment arrangements and any scheme policies and procedures, agree inventory of furniture & equipment whilst providing a consistent high quality and cost effective service.
, Carry out identification and review of support needs ensuring customers receive the support they need either from Group staff or external agencies, including monitoring and continual review of needs and service provision.
, Manage an individual caseload of customers, supporting them to achieve their goals.
To be considered for this role, it is essential that you are experienced in providing housing related support and have an understanding of the support needs of social housing residents who may have varying support needs, ranging from homelessness, mental health issues, substance abuse etc.
You will also need experience of housing management and be able to handle challenging behaviour, ASB and handle rent arrears and void monitoring.
Due to the nature of clients you will be supporting in this role, you will require an enhanced DBS.
This is a full time role, working 36.25 hours per week on a 7 day rota, with shifts of 09:00-17:00, 10:00-18:00 and 14:00-22:00.
