Communications Lead

Role: Communications Lead - Test and Trace
Location: Swinton, M27 area
Contract: Temp ongoing contract
Work pattern: 37 hrs, Mon-Fri
Start date: ASAP
I'm currently looking for a Senior Communications professional to come and take a lead on the test and trace response.

Key responsibilities:
, This is a lead senior communications officer role and it is essential that any candidates have experience and / or qualifications of communications and/or marketing.
, It needs a strategic understanding of behavioural insights, segmentation and targeted communications for us to successfully deliver what is required.
, To lead the delivery of the council's communications approach to Test and Trace, working closely with partners
, Manage and develop effective segmented proactive and reactive communications within multi-disciplinary teams
, Ensure behavioural insights are utilised to encourage awareness, understanding and confidence in Test and Trace as well as localised preventative responses
, Provide an insight led approach with regular performance reports and a robust evaluation system.
, Connect to engagement plans and manage relationships with partners and stakeholders to maximise collaboration
Develop and embed measurement tools for regularly gathering views of residents and key stakeholders.
Play a key role in developing a values based positive permission culture organisation that can deliver a better and fairer Salford for everyone.

What we need from you:
, Proven communications skills and ability to develop theory in a communication's professional role with a record of accomplishment for delivering outcomes working with stakeholders
, Integrated skills able to lead on planning digital communications, behavioural change, campaigns and media
, Able to influence, to agree goals with colleagues and partners to develop effective collaborative approaches.
, Able to take an intelligence-led approach and look for every opportunity to solve problems and improve.
, Understanding digital ways of working and sharing your skills with colleagues; being a ‘smart worker'; carrying out your role in the most efficient and effective way.
, A high level of understanding and practice in communications planning skills - able to agree and set objectives, target audiences, define messages and develop digitally-led approaches, ensuring evaluation is delivered
, Systems knowledge: Microsoft Office package skills.

Ability to use email campaign management tools, social media management tools, content management systems and image and video editing tools.
, Experience of local government, government or health sector communications with track record of leading projects and delivery
