This is a fantastic time to be joining Medway as a Social Worker in the Assessment team.
You will be part of an assessment pod consisting of 6 social workers and a Practice Manager.
We promote joint working to share risk assessment and enable different perspectives while providing intervention as early as possible during the assessment.
We have strong links with partners in Early Help and universal services to ensure we provide the right service, for the right children, at the right time.
As a registered social worker with Social Work England and at least one year's experience, you will be able to undertake direct work with children and young people and be able to evidence understanding of the child's lived experience.
You will also have a good knowledge of legislation and statutory guidance relevant to working in children's services.
You will be responsible for working and managing a caseload within a framework of appropriate supervision.
In return you will be supported through regular individual and reflective team supervision, dedicated administrative support and excellent training opportunities to support you with your career development.
