Calling all Senior Technical ICT Engineers in the East Sussex area.
Our client in the NHS are looking for a senior technical infrastructure engineer to cover technical support over various sites over east Sussex.
Pay Grade- Band 6/7 (Rate-£11.00 PAYE Per hour).
Hours: 9:00-17:00 Monday to Friday.
(37.5 Hours a week).
To provide specialist technical advice to the organisation as a whole on issues relating to the disciplines which fall under the remit of IT Networking.
In particular, the post holder is responsible for providing advice and implementing solutions within the field.
To assist with strategic planning for Networking, in line with the Trust IM&T strategy.
To assess and diagnose faults, which are raised via the IM&T Service desk and to implement solutions to these problems as a 3rd, line specialist (top level support).
Issues will pass through the Service desk and second line support before being escalated to the IT Technical Team if required.
To fix network related faults where feasible or to recommend appropriate solutions understanding, acknowledging and describing the implications for the staff.
Facilitate the use of specialist diagnostic tools and fault finding techniques to identify and diagnose root causes.
To liaise with suppliers of hardware and software services.
To act as network consultant on Projects and RtW's as required.
To identify, recommend and implement changes to IT systems to improve capacity and performance and address potential risks as agreed with internal teams and staff.
To provide knowledge transfer to support better first line fix rates with service desk, and junior members of the Technical Team.
To contribute to the review and development of policies, processes and procedures.
To perform set-up and configure tasks on the IT network in accordance with the network plan
To act as internal IT representative for a trust department.
To set technical standards and seek to improve both standards and service delivery at all times.
To contribute to and participate in IT related processes including Change Control, Major Incident and Problem Management
