Charge Nurse

We have a fantastic job opportunity opened up for a committed Sister/Charge Nurse based in the Newry area to work with one of the UK’s leading healthcare provider.

As one of the leading care homes in Newry, the care team provides a range of care types, including respite care to give family and friends a well-earned break, nursing care, dementia care for people in need of it, and specialist care for those with mental health conditions.

As a Nurse Sister your day to day duties include:

·         Leading a team to ensure the highest possible standards of care

·         Assessment of residents' needs, creating and implementing Care plans

·         Developing, reviewing and updating care plans to meet resident's physical, social and psychological needs, whilst still championing independence and personal choice

·         Maintaining accurate documentation and resident records.

·         Oversee all aspects of medicine management on your shift in accordance with company policies and current legislation.

·         Ensure compliance with all legal, regulatory and best practice guidelines - identify, investigate and resolve risks proactively.

·         Support, guide, teach and mentor others in line with the NMC Code, following its guidance at all times

·         They must have the ability to manage a busy ward environment on an ongoing basis and be committed to providing the highest quality of care to patients.

·         They must have interpersonal skills of the highest order to liaise with numerous professionals.

·         They must also be able to demonstrate the ability to work autonomously whilst ensuring the highest quality standards are achieved at the ward level.

·         Must have good delegation skills, crisis management, must have experience of working with female patients

The successful Nurse Sister  will be offered an excellent salary up to £34,820.76 per annum.

This exciting full time position is for 39 hours a week.
