Deputy Manager

An amazing job opportunity has arisen for a committed Deputy Manager to work in an exceptional care home service based in the Poole, Dorset area.

As a Deputy Manager you will be working for one of UK’s leading health care providers.

 

The new service which provides a mixture of nursing, residential and dementia beds, with an additional 20 transitional beds.

 

As a Deputy Manager your day to day duties will include:

·         Ensuring the delivery of quality care - continually assessing our resident's needs and wishes and developing the service to enhance their quality of life.

·         Assisting the home manager – deputising in the overall management of the care home as required.

·         Positively influencing the reputation of the home - communicating professionally and warmly with visitors including family, friends and other external stakeholders.

·         Support the financial effectiveness of the home – ensure the home operates within budget through effective use of resources and identify areas to improve efficiency.

·         Take on an active leadership role – you will need to be a visible leader in the home supporting the operation of a twenty four hour business.

·         Developing your people – oversee the induction of all new employees and participate in the training development of the team.

·         People management – play an active part in the recruitment, assessment and supervision of the team.

·         Support the manager in disciplinary proceeding as required.

 

An ideal Deputy Manager must have these skills as they are beneficial for this position:

·         Strong leadership and management qualities

·         Strong passion to enhance the service

·         Registered Nurse and hold a current registration with NMC

·         You must also be a positive and empathic individual

·         Flexible attitude and desire to make a difference.

 

The successful Deputy Manager will receive an excellent annual salary up to £48,000 per annum.

This exciting position is a Full Time role for 37.5 hours a week working through Day Shifts only.
