Business Support Assistant (Police)

Service Care Solutions are looking for a Business Support Assistant for a vacancy which has become available at the Police HQ in Chelmsford.

The main responsibility of this role is to provide secretarial support to senior managers and LPA commands.

Main responsibilities:
- To provide a high level of customer service to both internal and external customers.
- Undertakes typing of correspondence, reports, schedules and presentations for senior officers and managers, from longhand or audio.
- Prepare and distribute agendas, minutes, reports and other documentation.
- Book meetings and manage high level calendars.
- Takes minutes at Chief Officer meetings and disciplinary hearings.

Necessary experience:

- RSA II Typing or equivalent Minute Taking experience General computer literacy, with good knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Word.

- An occasional requirement to work at another location with an LPA if necessary.
- This post is deemed to be a designated post.
- Vetting clearance is a pre-requisite of employment in designated posts and the post holder will be subject to management vetting assessment every 7 years.

National security vetting clearances are reviewed every 10 years.

This is a police-based role, so applicants will be subject to police security checks.
It is advised that applicants have a clean DBS/CRB within the last 3 years.
