A Local Authority based in North West London is looking for a Regeneration Project Manager to join their team.
This is a full time, temporary ongoing agency role and the successful candidate must have a full Degree level qualification, extensive experience in planning/regeneration projects and ideally a strong background in local authority settings.
The main purpose of the role is to support the client's ambitious regeneration programme and the delivery of major regeneration projects and programmes.
The role combines both well-developed project and programme management skills with equally strong experience of working in the regeneration/planning arena.
The main responsibilities of the role are as follows;
Key role in designing, planning, developing, delivering and managing key council project and programmes in the regeneration arena, aligning deliverables to client priorities and outcomes
Ensure that programmes are managed and tracked against delivery plans and reported through the council's project management framework
Deliver projects on time and on budget in line with the client's agreed governance as set out in the project management framework
Provide regular reporting on project progress, achievement of key milestones, risks and risk mitigation plans and leading and coordinating all project related reporting, monitoring and governance
Manage both the dependencies and the interfaces between projects
Provide expertise and knowledge on development appraisals
Coordinate and provide strategic direction for programme boards, managing risks, issues and dependencies to required quality and within approved tolerances
Draft tender briefs to ensure effective and robust procurement's as required
Prepare planning/development briefs as required
The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate the following;
Degree level or equivalent education or relevant experience
Planning qualification or relevant planning / regeneration experience
Strong programme and project management skills, including the ability to consult, plan, monitor and evaluate
Experience of supporting the delivery of major developments
Understanding of UK plan making
Ability to write reports and deliver presentations and reports to successfully engage a wide spectrum of audiences, including senior managers and elected members
The client is looking to move quickly with appointing to this position and as such is offering an hourly rate of £25 - £29 p/hour Umbrella Ltd (Approx.
£620 - £710 p/week after deductions).
This position falls inside of IR35, so personal Ltd companies cannot be used to process pay.
