A Housing Association based in Nottinghamshire is looking for a Gas/Heating Manager to join their team.
This is a full time, temporary ongoing agency role and the successful candidate must have extensive experience in a similar role, relevant professional qualifications (ACS, NVQ, C&G, Gas Safe) and ideally experience in a housing/residential setting.
The successful candidate MUST have experience surveying heating systems - including flute & ventilation systems.
The main purpose of the role is to be responsible for the management of a team of Heating/Gas colleagues to deliver a first class Construction, Repairs & Maintenance Service to tenants of clients.
To deliver work streams within either planned maintenance, HM&E, responsive repairs or insourced contract delivery programmes which maximises tenant's satisfaction with the quality of their homes and the neighbourhood they live in.
The main responsibilities associated with this role are as follows;
Supports the Head of Planned Maintenance, HM&E, Responsive Repairs or Contract Delivery to lead, manage and develop the repairs and maintenance function.
Accountable for the performance of Trade Colleagues within the relevant service area and for the delivery of the team's objectives.
Responsible for effective resource management and value for money in the relevant service area.
Conducting regular site visits to advise Craft Operatives/sub-contractors and providing technical advice and guidance where needed, and offering suggestions as to alternative solutions where appropriate.
Manage and supervise works on various sites, including teams of craft and manual employees and sub-contractors to ensure that all works within their area is carried out to the required standard, on time and on budget; consistent with the contract specification and policy, with customer satisfaction at the forefront at all times.
The successful candidate will demonstrate the following skills/attributes;
Has experience surveying heating systems - including flute & ventilation systems
Has some experience with staff management - managing holidays, sickness, performance and 1-2-1's.
The team will be co-managed alongside another member of staff
Ideally a gas qualification - ACS/ NVQ/ Gas safety
Health and safety/ gas safety knowledge and experience
Full driving license and access to a vehicle
Ability to manage complex projects and budgets effectively
Experience and proven skill in managing health and safety in a similar role, mitigating or eliminating risks
The client is looking to move quickly with this role and as such are offering £20 - £23 p/hour Umbrella Ltd (approx.
£520 - £580 p/week after deductions) dependant on experience and qualifications.
