Contract Length: 6 months with potential of extension
Pay Rate: Competitive Salary
The successful candidate will prepare, examine, and analyse accounting records, financial statements, and other financial reports to assess accuracy, completeness, and conformance to reporting and procedural standards.
In addition, they will summarise current financial status by collecting information, preparing balance sheet, profit and loss statement, and other reports; Analyse business operations, trends, costs, revenues, financial commitments, and obligations, to project future revenues and expenses or to provide advice; Develop, maintain, and analyse budgets, preparing reports that compare budgeted costs to actual costs.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:
, Preparation of timely and accurate Basic Payment Scheme, Trader and RD claims for reimbursement from the European Commission.
, Preparation of the annual accounts and the supporting financial, customer and operational data in accordance with European Commission requirements.
, Preparation of the annual report of customer debts in accordance with European Commission requirements.
, Providing responses to audit queries and ad hoc requests for information.
, Review Commission guidelines and regulations to identify new or changed requirements.
CCAB Qualified Accountant or Studying towards a recognised CCAB Accounting Qualification.
Key Skills include:
, Basic knowledge of accounting principles.
, Good IT (Excel) and accounting system experience
, Good presentation, written and verbal skills.
, Ability to work collaboratively across business areas
, Ability to meet business critical milestones and deadlines.
, Ability to deliver high quality products against competing priorities and tight deadlines
