Service Manager

Retain Healthcare, Service Manager - Cheltenham.


INTRODUCTION An exciting opportunity exists for a Service Manager.

You will be working for a dynamic Healthcare provider offering temporary and permanent recruitment solutions to healthcare establishments throughout Gloucestershire.

You will be responsible for the day to day management of the office and staff to ensure KPIs are met, shifts are covered, whilst ensuring Nurses, Care Assistants and Support Workers are fully supported and trained.

Business Development, Recruitment and our customers will be at the forefront of this role.

You'll be a natural leader with a proven track record of leading and developing a healthcare agency.

You will also need at least 2 years' experience of managing an agency and motivating a team.

High levels of motivation are needed to drive the business forward while never compromising on quality.

Full UK driving licence is essential.

We are looking for an experienced individual, who is enthusiastic, confident and a team player to join our creative team.


MAIN DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES



  • To work alongside and assist the Area Operations Manager

  • To ensure that the branch operates at a good - outstanding level

  • Ensure that the care team have the right skill mix based on a customer needs analysis

  • Ensure that staff availability is up to date and utilised

  • Ensure that team members adhere to the company policies and procedures

  • To take responsibility for the recruitment, training and retention of staff

  • Carry out supervisions and annual appraisals

  • Ensure that all contract monitoring is accurate

  • Perform On-Call duties and support the on-call team.

  • Willingly tackle problems which stand in the way of achieving results

  • Flexible and adaptable approach to changing situations.

  • Ability to retain, develop and mentor a team.

  • Motivate your team

  • Create a network of contacts internally and externally

  • Business Development to promote Retain Healthcare to establishments and multi agencies including the local authority / authorities

  • Writing and recording professional management reports

  • Attend Meetings with managers of local care establishments

  • Resolve incidents and complaints / concerns in a positive and professional manner.

  • Ideally have a level 5 / RMA or willingness to work towards.
