Behavioural Support Practitioners

Service Care Solutions are seeking Behaviour Support Practitioners in the North West to work on a full time or part time permanent basis.

To provide specialist consultation and guidance for individuals with learning disabilities (including mental health duality) and/or Autism Spectrum Conditions (ASC) who require behavioural support.

To develop, innovative and person centred services based on Applied Behaviour Analysis and Positive Behaviour Support.

To assist with the delivery and operation of a high quality, cost effective service which meets individual needs.

To assist an agreed clinical caseload of complex cases and working collaboratively with other external agencies.

Salary will be £35,000 + car (c£4000)

Daily Duties
Assists service staff by providing behaviour management recommendations on how to support individual people we support.
Contribute to the clinical functional assessment of challenging behaviour(s), to the development of strategies (behaviour plans) across the company and monitors their implementation through evaluation and reviewing of effectiveness.
Contributes to the co-ordination of a programme of staff development related to Autistic Spectrum Disorders (ASD), Challenging Behaviours and Learning Disabilities includes designing and delivering specialist training.
Provide clinical advice, consultation and/or supervision to Service Managers and staff as required.
Works with staff to identify individual people we support learning and development needs as required.
Develops learning plans, strategies and schedules and support staff in ensuring individual needs are achieved.
Maintains efficient and up to date on all relevant paper and electronic administrative systems.
Ensure own practice falls in line with CQC, CSSIW and/or OFSTED regulatory requirements and professional ‘best practice' guidelines.
Actively promotes a person-centred approach at all times.
Works in a way that reflects Vision, Mission and Values, promotes best practice.
Uses initiative, does what is needed without being asked, and follows through taking ownership.
Understands confidentiality and able to apply this appropriately to daily working practice.

Person Specification
Applicants must hold either Behavioural Qualification (i.e.

BSc (Hons) Behavioural Analysis) and/or Registered Mental Health Nursing or Registered Learning Disabilities Nursing Qualification with experience for this role.
