Business Development Account Manager
Business Development Account Manager, Maidenhead, Berkshire, £30-35K + 10% bonus + Bens.
Ideally Degree educated you will have experience working in a sales environment and be able to sell a solution to a marketing audience.
You may have previously been in a similar position, an internal sales or even a recruitment role.
The focus of the role will be to achieve sales targets and help our new business growth.
This is achieved by identifying potential in new and existing clients, building clients relationships, sharing our ideas and demonstrating our capabilities to gain long term business relationships.
This position will form part of the Business Development team based in Maidenhead.
, Develop and manage a portfolio of new and existing client accounts.
, Using a strategic account plan, identify new business opportunities to increase account spend and develop the client base.
, Manage relationships with existing clients to gain contract renewal
, Upsell by offering additional services.
, Prepare solutions and proposals based on an understanding of the client's business, an analysis of their requirements, brand experience, market category and strategic direction.
, Prepare quotations and presentations for clients in an accurate and timely manner.
, Work effectively and collaboratively with internal teams to ensure they are briefed correctly to deliver responses to client's requirements.
, Communicate with new and existing clients to articulate the agency's offering well and generate excitement for the work we can do and have done.
, Exceed agreed sales targets.
, Brief our Campaign Managers to help them successfully deliver the clients requirements and delight them.
Qualifications, knowledge & experience
Industry experience in a sales role
, Natural relationship builder
, Sound business acumen and entrepreneurial approach to client development
, Able to adapt communication style and approach to a wide range of audiences
, Excellent written and verbal communication skills in order to write compelling proposals, reports, creative briefs and deliver presentations
, Experience of presenting to clients in a confident and a persuasive manner
, Outstanding negotiation skills
, Project management skills and ability to provide leadership and direction
, Experience managing budgets, timelines and clients' expectations
, Able to function in fast-moving environment that requires high attention to detail, organization and performing well under pressure
, Travel to visit clients will be required
, A degree or other qualification in advertising, marketing or a related field
, Experience in FMCG and associated retail channels
, Experience working in agency environment
, Enthusiasm, drive, and the ability to work effectively within a team.
